History:  The second child of the Harris family, Jason was brought up in various locations in America and abroad, eventually settling in Virginia Beach shortly after his 12th birthday. A fairly average student, Jason was different from his older brother and other family members in his hopes to be a future teacher, although he came from a family with a long-standing military tradition. After his brother Alexander joined the military at the age of 18, Jason was expected to give up his "flights of fancy" and join a military service, continuing the family tradition. But when he left home at the age of 18 and instead began attending classes at Old Dominion University, his family was less than happy about his decision.

Attending classes at the school often bored the young Jason to tears, especially those classes that
had no bearing on his future career. It was during one of these classes, complete with a boring
and dragged out lecture, that his own mental wish to disappear brought about a chemical change within him, activating his mutant ability and rendering him invisible. At first, his powers went majorally unnoticed, as it was assumed he left the lectures out of boredem. But, when he seemingly "disappeared" in the middle of a conversation, the truth was out and he was expelled from ODU. With no where else to go, his own family having since abandoned him due to his status as a mutant, he quickly accepted Charles Xavier's offer to study at his school in Westchester.

Personality: Jason is often seen as the odd man out in a conversation. Not being either overly athletic or charming, he typically keeps to the background, only showing up when he has something to add to the conversation. His thankfulness over the second chance given to him by Professor Xavier has given him a fierce sense of loyalty, doing whatever he can to "earn his keep." But when asked about his past, he prefers to avoid the question or answer with "It's none of your business."
