With her telekinesis she can levitate herself, other people, and objects. Marvel Girl's telekinetic abilities are stronger than her telepathic pwoers, for now. She has had more training with them since the Professor had to impliment blocks on her telepathic abilities. She has since been working with him advancing her telepathic powers as quickly as possible so that some day she might be able to reach her full potential.

History: Jean grew up with her family in New York living a normal, upper class life until the day came that her powers manifested themselves. Jeans powers, while small at first and confusing, were able to be subdued enough to go on living a normal life. It didn't take long however for her powers to grow completely out of hand to the point that Mr. and Mrs. Grey were left with no other choice but to commit Jean. However, Professor Charles Xavier reached the Grey family before they could put Jean away. He erected psychic shields in Jean's mind to prevent her from using her telepathic powers until she had become sufficiently mature to control them, and he taught her how to use her emerging telekinetic abilities. Jean joined the X-men when it was still young, and had only one previous and current member, Scott Summers (aka Cyclops). This was a blessing in disguise for Jean as she could work constantly with the professor to develop her telepathic ability and slowly grow controls over it enough to be able to use it. The Professor has modified his shields on Jean's mind to allow for her ever-growing control over them. And, with Scott, Jean relearned how to deal with other people and her powers at the same time. With Scott and Jean being the only X-men, they grew very close and have become great friends and even better X-men together. Thanks to the Professor and her time on the X-men. Jean has also readjusted her view on life. Before her powers, Jean didn't have a care in the world. She could live however she wanted to with her parents and never have any true problems. Now, Jean sees the world more clearly and has changed a great deal because of it. One of the main way she's changed is her focus on learning and medicine. Jean loved what Professor Xavier was able to do for her, and thinks of him as a mentor and father figure because of it. Now, she realizes with her talents and abilities she could learn how to help people through medicine. Jean still manages to socialize but makes sure she still has a deep route in her school work and especially in studying to become a doctor. She even serves as a type of nurse/doctor to all of the team and works at learning more about it. Now with more and more students joining the X-men, Jean has more of challenge learning to deal with her powers and now a full fledged team of students. She's deeply devoted to Xavier's dream and is happy to see that more people can be helped by Xavier like her and Scott and want to join the team to help in that fight.
