Powers/Skills: Cosmic energy absorption into the cells of his body, transform it in an unknown manner, and release it as waves of energy that heat the air in their path enough to turn it into plasma.
When Havok strikes an object with the waves of intensity of hot plasma, the sudden vast jump in temperature will often cause objects to shatter, explode, or seemingly disintegrate, and an observer might therefore wrongly think that the object had been struck by a concussive force. When directing his energy at the lowest level, he can project it towards a human being and his target will suffer a severe headache but will not burn up.
Havok's body is constantly in the process of absorbing cosmic radiation.

History: Alex's life began when he was seven and he woke up in a hospital in Alaska to an unfamiliar ceiling. An amnesiac from some sort of physical and mental trauma, all he could remember was details about himself, but no memories. He spent a nightmare filled year in the hospital recovering from two broken legs and a broken arm and going through physical therapy that he had recieved from whatever'd caused his amnesia. During that time, a couple that volunteered at the hospital grew attached to Alex and began to care for him and he for them. After a brief stay in an orphanage, Alex was adopted by Denise and Luis Mendoza, who were happy to have him join their family as they had been unable to conceive a child. Soon after adopting him, the Mendozas, including the newly named Alex Mendoza, moved back to their old home in Southern California. There, Alex grew up as an average child, with his screaming nightmares eventually fading away for the most part. Unfortunately, they began to return when Alex was 12 and the Mendozas decided it would be best to have Alex see a psychiatrist to work through them, as they were beginning to cause Alex a lot of emotional stress. The psychiatrist easily picked up on Alex's problem being his repressed past and the entire Mendoza family agreed it would be best to find out just where Alex came from and what happened to him. During the next year as they tried to unravel his past, Alex became more rebellious, using the fact that he was adopted as an excuse. Eventually, Alex's acting out landed him in trouble as he was caught being a passenger in a stolen car and sentenced to three months in a detention center for boys. During that time, his foster parents came to visit him whenever they could, never giving up on him. When he was released a month early, he realized that it didn't matter if they weren't his birth parents, Luis and Denise were his parents. The Mendozas gave him a bit more leeway after that, allowing him to get some piercings and even letting him lie about his age to get a few tattoos, but Alex never seriously disobeyed them again.

Personality: For the most part, Alex is laid back, though he doesn't like to conform to a lot of rules, especially ones he views as being stupid. Alex opens up rather quickly to new people, perhaps because he wishes to belong, not knowing where he fits into the scheme of things due to not knowing about himself. He doesn't like to discuss his past, as it's still a tender subject, especially the lack of success in finding anything about what happened. Having thought he'd been close to finding out who he was a few times already only to have it end up in a dead end, he's pessimistic about whether or not he'll uncover who he is, though he secretly wishes every day that he knew who he was. Looking forward to entering High School and kicking it at some parties with his friends, Alex sees a wide open future in front of him.
